All Week

Small Groups

Throughout the week people from our church family meet in small groups to grow closer to Jesus, to get to know each other and to pray together.  If you are not already in a group, how about joining one in September?
We have one most days of the week:
Monday – evening, meets at church
Wednesday – three groups meeting both in a home and at church
Thursday – lunchtime – meet at church and another in the evening meeting in homes

Part of our vision is to ‘equip one another as active disciples of Jesus’ – what better place to do this than with a small number of people looking into what the Bible says for everyday living.
Please see details below for information on current groups, or email: smallgroups@thatchambaptist.org.uk

Small Groups give people an opportunity to meet with a smaller group of people (typically 6-10) either in someone’s home or at church or online. Each small group has elements of prayer, Bible study, discussion, socialising, support and encouragement, but every group has its own identity and emphasis. They are an excellent way to make deep friendships whilst growing in faith.

Alpha

Next Alpha will start on 16 September

Stay curious.  Try Alpha.
Explore faith in an open, friendly environment.

Alpha is a series of group conversations that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. Everyone’s welcome. No matter your background or beliefs, you’re invited.

We regularly run Alpha Courses which are designed specially for newcomers and give a really accessible introduction to the Christian faith.  A typical Alpha course is a small group of 8-10 people meeting over a period of 3 months.

Our next Alpha course starts on 16 September 2026

Each Wednesday we will meet for coffee at church from 7.15pm and aim to finish at 9pm.
