The people who help us tick
Church is a team effort. Here are some of the people who help lead, care for and serve our church family — though it takes every one of us to make TBC what it is.
Pastor & coordinator
David Taylor
Pastor
David has been Pastor and Team Leader at TBC since June 2011. He has been a Christian since childhood and is passionate about encouraging others to know Christ too. He loves the community of Thatcham and is often to be seen sipping a coffee with friends in Costa which he tells us is work. "Whether you think of yourself as a Christian or not, if I can be of any help to you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch – I look forward to meeting you.” Email: david@thatchambaptist.org.uk
Sarah Wylie
Church Coordinator
Sarah has been a follower of Jesus since she was a child. She and her husband moved to Thatcham with their family in 2001. Sarah is based in the church office during the week (Tuesdays to Fridays) and combines her role as co-ordinator with extending the welcome of TBC to those from other countries who have recently joined us. She loves sitting round a table getting to know people over good food from around the world. sarah@thatchambaptist.org.uk
Serving and leading together
Our deacons share responsibility for the life, care and direction of the church.

Dave Carter
Treasurer
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1 v 6

Steve Goss
Adult Discipleship
Steve is married to Zoe. They moved to West Berkshire in 2016 and settled in Thatcham Baptist Church in 2021. Steve's background is in business, specifically in marketing roles, but for the last 20 years he has led a Christian discipleship ministry. He has a heart for teaching and discipleship.

Liz Spencer
Worship & Music
Liz lives in Cold Ash with her husband Nick & the youngest of their five children. She was brought up in a Christian family & made the choice to follow Jesus for herself at the age of 11. “I’m looking forward to serving our church family & the local community too. It‘s exciting to see what God is going to do next!

Anne Stopher
Pastoral
Anne has been a Christian for many years and started attending TBC in 2016 where she was baptised in September 2021. Originally from Lytham St Annes in Lancashire, Anne moved to Berkshire in 1987 to be married. She has two grown up sons and enjoys a variety of outdoor sports as well as running a music group for pre-school children.
