Keeping everyone safe
We are committed to creating a safe environment for everyone in our church community. Where there are concerns that a child, young person or adult is at risk of harm, or you witness concerning behaviour, the process below must be followed.
The safeguarding process
Three clear stages — so everyone knows what to do and what happens next.
Recognise, respond and report
If anyone has a concern about the welfare of a child or adult at risk, or the behaviour of an individual, everyone has a duty to recognise, respond and report to the appropriate Designated Person for Safeguarding.
Review and report
The report is reviewed by the Designated Person, who decides what action to take. Their duty is to review and report to the relevant people and authorities.
Support and report
Once a decision is made, the Designated Person, Safeguarding Trustee and Minister have a duty to support and report to all those affected.

To contact any of the above, please ring the Church Office on 01635 867054 and leave your number, and they will get back to you. To report a concern you can also pick up a form from the quiet room noticeboard in church.
In an emergency
If a child or adult at risk is in imminent danger of harm, contact the police or emergency services without delay — call 999.
